Then on to Victoria Falls, an awesome elephant-back safari and an incredible sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. From there to Botswana's Chobe Park, with one of the highest concentrations of elephants on the continent and even more animals than you could count.
By jet, we moved south to Port Elizabeth and spent three days exploring the famous, historical Garden Route, with some of the most breathtaking scenery anywhere. Our explorations took us to the Congo Caves; an ostrich farm; the Featherbed Nature Preserve and other unique sites. And to South Africa to go down the incredibly scenic Garden Route coast along the way to Cape Town. It was a great time for whale watching as well as sea lions and penguins. Some of us even made it into “the big six”, by spending a day in a pursuit of great white sharks! What an adventure!
We spent our final 4 days in Cape Town with plenty of time to explore, shop and dine along the Waterfront. We enjoyed a trip to the wine country with wine tasting and a fabulous lunch at one of the vineyards. We took a group photo during our tour to the Cape of Good Hope where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet.
